I was thinking a bit about this earlier ... Though a non-gambler, I'd bet money (a penny, granted) that Stockton Rush was a Randian/Objectivist. In his interviews, he oozes "I am a fucking hero" BECAUSE he broke the rules in the name of "creating" and "advancing humanity."
Those were his values. Good = via making gobs of money and overtly flouting any type of controls (you know, the ethical kind that tend to keep people safe and alive).
The amount of hubris is gobsmacking.
