@ryanhoulihan @locksmithprime Furthermore, none of the past context, no matter how horrific, is an international legal excuse to target a group. There’s no “we are angry and don’t know what else to do” exception to international human rights laws.
@no1lion99 @ryanhoulihan Right. Hamas knew all that, this is precisely the reason they attacked. They knew Israel would react as they always do, with extreme aggression, and would be immediately condemned by the international community. This is how it functions there since always. And Israel is very well versed into playing the victim and amplifying when they are in fact the victim. I was raised Jewish, this is a skill learned very early.
@locksmithprime @ryanhoulihan And yet your first instinct was to blame Palestinian population for “allowing it”?
@no1lion99 @ryanhoulihan I said "one may ask", not "I". You realize it is one question that comes up. I am more realistic: whether palestinians want it or not, there is little they can do.
@locksmithprime @no1lion99 @ryanhoulihan One may ask lol.
Palestine is a nation of mostly children. Most Palestinians aren’t even eligible to vote. And the last time they had an election was 16 years ago. If you had bothered to learn the basic recent history of Palestine before posting agitprop for American colonialism you would know this.
@psychictides
Israel elected a fascist, pro-apartheid government. The electorate put them in charge. Hamas isn't elected anything.
@locksmithprime @no1lion99 @ryanhoulihan
@sigrithur @psychictides @no1lion99 @ryanhoulihan And that is going to bite Israel in the ass.
@psychictides @no1lion99 @ryanhoulihan And hence they are perfect props for Hamas to use against Israel.
