today i am learning about how a bunch of show robots got built in the 30s and apparently nearly all of them could either smoke cigarettes or shoot guns

@robotcarsley they made sure everyone wore a hat by having the old timey police go around truncheoning random skulls under the assumption that if you were wearing a hat it would cushion the blow enough for you to survive

It might amuse you to know the hatmakers association in New York literally used to pay people to go around beating up men who weren't wearing hats or were wearing out of fashion hats.
