Foreign governments CAN in fact buy our politicians, but they have to go about it in a certain way - which is why the Clinton foundation was set up the way it was, and why Trump's favorite form of bribery comes through encouraging foreign actors to spend or give money to his charities and businesses. He doesn't HAVE charities anymore, so exposing that his bail bond money came from the KSA, might sink his whole campaign.

@lkngrrr @waitworry And it would of course be much harder to HIDE that, if a former federal judge were literally assigned to watch where his incoming money came from.

In other words, it's entirely possible he CAN'T take money from the Saudis (or anyone else) for this purpose, without opening himself up to an entirely new prosecution and potential disqualification - legally. Regardless of what his fascist base thinks about it.
