Brey, capitalism and capitalists are boiling the planet like soup for pennies a share. We're surrounded by politically empowered nazis, and our entire state apparatus is DEVOTED to mercing brown ppl for weapons contractors. The labor class is being decimated and reduced to a state of debt-serfdom. An entire generation of young people KNOW they have no future and no reason to try for one.
And when you say "it's not on the ballot" - I agree with you, which is why folks ain't caring about ballots.
Can't vote to end capitalism that's killing us. Can't vote to crush fascists that're lining us up for camps. Can't vote to provide basic healthcare to our dying families. Can't vote to stop corporate monopolies bleeding us dry. Can't vote to end the genocides our government is funding and supporting. Can't vote to protect migrants. Can't vote even to protect queer people. Can't vote against white supremacy. Can't vote to dismantle a fascist SCOTUS or enshrine rights.
Then what good is voting?
If the election is about the concerns of affluent suburbanites, then why do you expect anyone who isn't an affluent suburbanite to come and save you? Did you folks save us? "You gotta protect DEMOCRACY!" For whom? Cause we ain't got one down here.

im not against voting of course. voting is a wonderful thing, in an actual democracy. in a fascist corporate hellscape you get to choose between one hellscape and a slightly nicer hellscape, and every few years it gets worse.
this is a nice outlet for people who like to feel like they made a real difference every *checks notes* couple of years or so.
