Lol, you know you're in trouble when your case makes TERF Island news and even the Daily Mail can't figure out a way to cover for you:
(I told ya that's how it went down; as soon as I heard about it I called back and home and the street had all this hours ago.)
@AnarchoNinaWrites I swear, reading many news stories coming out of US is chock-full of surreal nutbar drama!
@AnarchoNinaWrites Even the image thumbnail for this story is quite surreal to me, as a Canadian. 'Murica! Yikes.
@PhoenixSerenity This is pretty consistent with the exercise of power in a fascist country; folks like to think of reactionaries as hyper-efficient, law abiding moralists but the reality is, all the way back to Nazi Germany, they're travsshambles assclowns who get up to all sorts of (often illegal) nonsense they'd fry *you* in the chair for doing.
@AnarchoNinaWrites 100% true. I just don't get why more folks in US still don't seem to see or get it? It looks pretty damn obvious from the outside, looking in. We got fascist shitstains in Canada, trying their best to ape their 'murican fascist pals. It's fucking disgusting!
@PhoenixSerenity @AnarchoNinaWrites You know how if you're in a room that smells like coffee, like EVERYTHING smells like coffee, once you leave the room everything smells like it still at least for a little while longer so you really can't tell the difference... especially if that's all you know? It actually takes time for your nose to adjust to normal and sometimes it's still there??
It's like that but for the US as a whole
If you don't believe me don't look up Florida Man...
@AnarchoNinaWrites @PhoenixSerenity
SAY. THAT.
And I'd only beg to differ in that it goes even further back (see Thomas Jefferson and his rape slave).
@AnarchoNinaWrites we soon will see an explanation from him in the Norman Fry style

When someone said his campaign released a statement that said, "As many of us know, Rep Friske is always exercising his Second Amendment right..." I assumed that was a joke.
Holy shit.
@csstrowbridge Nope. They also implied it was a stich up and accused his primary opponent of having "deep state ties."
Part of how I knew it wasn't just gossip; you don't toss spaghetti against the wall like that hoping something sticks unless your guy did it and is totally fucked.
@AnarchoNinaWrites @cstross sigh…”was arrested closed to a condo” – although maybe I shouldn’t expect any better.
