Pretty sure Simon Jenkins is a fascist. At a minimum he's a guy who likes fascism, and is prepared to deploy the most vapid arguments possible to defend a fascist regime.
A) my dudes, there is no "diversity of opinion" when you're supporting a fascist regime; the Guardian should never have printed this.
B) Tech bro culture is fascist. Quoting Mark Zuckerberg to justify a fascist regime, doing fascism, is fascist apologia and also brainwormed nonsense.

@AnarchoNinaWrites So very yes. The Economist (which honestly why *do* I still get emails from them? Am I hoping they'll get better?) had a similar editorial today. About Musk maybe, I can't remember because I don't actually care about the distinction, if any, but substantially the same: "Sure, it all *looks* stupid and cruel and short-sighted, but he's rich so maybe there's a chance we'll all say he was so right later."

This is the US version of the Guardian? Or, the UK version? Hard to tell the difference between them these days. At least the UK version doesn't have those stank Julie Birchill essays anymore.

@AnarchoNinaWrites I spent 20 years in big tech and I can state that my experience was that the vast majority of the people in that space believe they know what is best for everyone and would be happy to simply impose their will.
It's an incredibly fascist friendly environment.
