Trying to pick 3 of:
Six Different Ways
Push
A Night Like This
Close to Me
In Between Days
Challenge level? Impossible...
@AnarchoNinaWrites I motion to put "In Between Days" in there without questions asked.
@chawopro You just love jangle pop. :)
@AnarchoNinaWrites Guilty as charged.
@chawopro@jorts.horse @AnarchoNinaWrites@jorts.horse It must be the middle of the three in the list.
@AnarchoNinaWrites @driusan @chawopro
Pictures of You
The Same Deep Water As You|
And the title track.
It ain't even a contest
@CosmickTrigger @driusan @chawopro No spoilers; but this time I'll confess that you're very close to my list; two are identical and one is my number 4 track on the album.
@AnarchoNinaWrites @driusan @chawopro
"Plainsong" the opening track, is a complete banger.
I bought it the day it came out for my goth girlfriend on vinyl. I was still a metalhead but I was in a period of transition from the metal scene to the goth scene because the goth scene was more LGBTQ-friendly
She legit started bawling her eyes out during 'Pictures'
Confession time: The were probably the most boring live show I ever saw
@CosmickTrigger The Cure are famous for being a "put your head down and play" band; I've enjoyed seeing them live several times but it's mostly because they don't enhance their sound in production so for the MOST part, what you heard on the album, is what you get live; and that's not true of every band.
But they're definitely a better band to sit alone in your bedroom listening to for hours on end without distraction than to get together with a bunch of friends and see in concert.
Yep. They just stood in one place and played their instruments.
My first concert in the 80s was Iron Maiden so I was kinda spoiled about showmanship from the get-go.
Marilyn Manson, NIN, Alien Sex Fiend, Skinny Puppy, Einsturzende Neubauten, Motley Crue, Rammstein, In This Moment, etc, just go out of their way to PUT ON A SHOW
I'm dying that I wasn't able to see "The Black Parade is Dead" tour and dying even more that MCR are doing it again (just playing TBP in its entirety) but tickets are "promise us your firstborn" and I had a vasectomy.
(Way out of my price range)
