Talked to my Mom for 2 hours on the phone. I don't mind, because she says it's the best part of her week and her weeks aren't very good right now given my stepdad's accelerating cancer and rapidly declining health - but man, pretending I'm not just as sad and freaked out as she is for that long is by no means easy.
