I think you're wrong; and the logical conclusion of your position is nihilism.
And do you really think you're the ONLY person making this argument? It's all over my TV and the editorial pages of The Guardian.
Arguing that "America is too awful for our pure politics" is a way to let shit tier conservatives off the hook for blowing a winnable election (by running AS Republicans) to a reality TV show nazi, so of course they're broadcasting that message.
That's probably where you got the idea.
So "why subtoot" you?
Because I don't hit the reply button out here, and I'm not interested in providing you with a private lesson.
I say what I say because I'm talking to everyone following and reading along.
Did I name you? Have you even considered why I haven't named you?
Maybe I thought giving YOU a lecture would be rude and unnecessarily personal? Maybe I don't want weirdos in my replies to start filling your replies? Maybe you just reminded me of a BROADER discussion I think it's super important to push back against?
Maybe it wasn't entirely ABOUT you.
There is a saying: "Hit dogs holla."
And another one: "If the shoe fits all too comfortably, why not wear it?"
Some folks have been wearing out the boots kicking our asses for far too long, and they don't like us finally calling them out.
@AnthonyJK This is true; but in this case I do not think the person hurt by my thread is that. I won't say we share the same politics, but she's not a hippy puncher or a bougie shitlib
I meant what I said - I didn't just reply because it's bigger than one narrative, I didn't want to yell at her, I didn't want my followers to hound her, and it's a topic I've been trying to discuss out here for a while
"There was nothing Harris coulda done" is wrong, serves power, and points to dark conclusions.
