let's be real:
you are not actually living under democratic anything if "should the state kill you?" (social murder included) is a question on the ballot every few years
in that situation you are inescapably the *subject* of the state but only conditionally a citizen with any rights whatsoever
and it pisses me off to no end how much the people who are more citizeny citizens — who aren't constantly being threatened with the giant murder machine — keep looking at it and going "maybe it'll be fun if we rev it up some, really start piling up those corpses, you know? just to feel something…"

I boosted this, but really almost every democracy that has ever existed has been periodically concerned with which of its citizens or non-citizens it should kill. But I'm an anarchist and you're probably not so we don't have to agree about this.
