if I were running against Trump in an election, I would immediately be working "they stole almost two million dollars for a charity to rescue stray dogs" into my campaign speeches; like I'd find a way to say that out loud every 3-4 days.
You can count on Americans to be super shitty to each other and simply not give a fuck about other people who they perceive as different to them at all; but even the worst cracker reactionaries in this country, typically love the shit out of dogs.
May have to dick with the wording since it's not quite "stealing" so much as spending funds donated for the charity, at Trump's businesses. But I'm sure it'd still be one of the most damaging things you could say about Trump and his Klan, er, family.
This country fucking LOVES dogs. Like irrationally so. It's often quite fucking alarming to people not from the US, how folks who advocate for letting unhoused people die, will bend over backwards for dogs. Lean into it.
